A Shipping & Receiving Associate prepares finished product for shipping as well as receives and logs product into inventory. Our goal is not to meet expectations. Our goal is to exceed expectations and ensure our customers receive an exceptional experience at Invio Automation.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Arrange for carrier vehicle or pickup
  • Follow instructions given by supervisor quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to perform other shop duties required by the company.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 3 years experience of shipping/receiving.
